Talon Protection Group is not your run of the mill security company. While observe and report is always a staple of the industry, we do much more than that. We will provide training at no cost to you. While we do require all candidates to possess their own equipment prior to joining our team, we will provide regular assessments and refreshers to ensure that each officer is certified to use the tools they carry on a daily basis.
At Talon Protection Group, everyone from the baseline officers through the Chief Executive Officer are employees. We do not hire to fill supervisory positions, either. Our Corporals, Sergeants, Lieutenants and Captains have always been promoted from within the company. In this way, our officers know they have leadership they can trust to both have their best interests at heart and communicate effectively and honestly with them.

Both our armed and unarmed officers are expected to handle a wide variety of potentially dangerous or life-threatening situations in the field. As such, we provide the highest quality of training and gear possible. Our officers are trained to use the tools issued to them, while always prioritizing de-escalation techniques. Our valued partnership with Central City Concern has allowed us to provide the highest tier of education in de-escalating volatile situations, especially those involving narcotics or behavioral health crises.

Competitive Compensation
Unarmed Security Officers’ pay starts at $21/hr with a current unarmed DPSST certification. Based on factors including time-in-company and continued good standing, an Unarmed Officer would be able to advance in $1/hr increments until capping out at $26/hr.
Armed Security Officers’ pay starts at $28/hr for their probationary phase, with the opportunity to advance to $34/hr before promotion to supervisory positions or special projects. These figures are, again, dependent on time served within the company and are performance based.
Our officers are provided several perks as a part of our compensation package. These perks are available to employees who successfully complete their 90-day probationary period.
